Chemical Analysis
title
Description of Activities
Comprehensive chemical characterisation of extracts and isolated compounds. This work package employs advanced analytical techniques, such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and mass spectrometry (MS), to provide a detailed understanding of the chemical composition of the extracts. The data obtained will be critical for subsequent biological assessments.

Specific Goals
- Comprehensive chemical analysis of recovered materials and compounds using advanced chromatographic methods.
- Construction of a GC-MS and UHPLC-HRMS library to enable identification of compounds in uncharacterized cannabis wastes and monitoring of their enrichment in the extraction steps.
- Purification of compounds from mixtures of congeners (obtained from previously developed extraction methods) by small-scale techniques (e.g., preparative LC) for submission to biological characterisation.
- Characterisation of photochemical and thermal stability of isolated compounds.
