Bioactivity Evaluation
titolo
Description of Activities
Evaluation of biological activities of extracts and isolated compounds. This work package uses a series of in vitro assays to determine the biological efficacy of compounds extracted from hemp. Evaluating biological activities is essential to identify compounds with therapeutic potential and develop new hemp-based products with medical and health applications (nutraceutical and cosmeceutical).
title
Specific Goals
- Evaluation of antioxidant properties of extracts and compounds in chemical systems and cell cultures.
- Determination of neuroprotective activity of extracted compounds in cell cultures.
- Evaluation of antiproliferative properties of extracts and compounds by exploring effects on cell viability and proliferation, induction of apoptosis, and other mechanisms of action.
- Screening of extracts and compounds for their antimicrobial properties to discover novel anti-infective agents for supporting human and plant health.
- Determination of the safety profile and bioavailability of bioactive metabolites in cell cultures for potential pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmetic applications.
