Objectives

The main objective of the project is to explore hemp by-products to develop high-value applications based on their richness in bioactive compounds. The project aims to investigate and isolate different classes of compounds, creating a useful library for new analytical methods, molecular probes, structure-activity relationship studies and new ingredients for nutraceuticals and cosmetics. Sustainable extraction and analysis methods will be developed, with an integrated system to maximise the value of waste, in line with the goals of Agenda 2030.
